Hopewell Presbyterian Church embarked on their “Making Connections” campaign with two missions: The first was to enhance and modernize the entry and accessibility and the second was to investigate and cure the extensive periodic flooding that had plagued the aging facility for years. Despite an extremely limited budget, a new fully accessible Welcome Center with an elevator was installed, the Narthex and Sanctuary were reversed and restored to bring them back to their original turn of the century glory and, despite an extremely high water table and an active spring under the facility, the foundations were successfully restored and waterproofed.
